Residents of Cabanagem complete "Event Pricing" course promoted by the State government
The initiative aims at the economic and social development of the served territories, stimulating income generation through qualification and access to knowledge

Residents of areas near the Usina da Paz Cabanagem completed, this Thursday (18), the "Event Pricing" course, promoted by the Secretary of Economic Development, Mining and Energy (Sedeme), in partnership with the State Secretary of Assistance and Citizenship (Seac). The initiative is part of Sedeme's actions in UsiPaz, within the Territories for Peace Program (TerPaz), developed by the government of Pará. The proposal aims to promote the economic and social development of the served territories, stimulating income generation through qualification and access to knowledge.
With a workload of 12 class hours, the training began last Tuesday (16) and was conducted by administrator Berenice Tavares, who presented the main aspects of organizing social events — from private parties to large celebrations.
Among the topics covered, the following stood out: preparation of cost spreadsheets; registration of suppliers; calculation of expenses and hiring additional services, such as specialized labor. During the meeting, various types of events were discussed, such as weddings; birthdays; debutante parties; corporate gatherings; charity dinners and family reunions. The teacher also emphasized the importance of defining the target audience, choosing suitable venues — such as halls, open spaces, residences or convention centers — and strategically planning all the logistics involved, including stages such as decoration, catering, entertainment, invitations, and technical structure.
“Correct pricing is one of the pillars for the success of any service. The goal of the course is to empower participants so that they can act with security and professionalism in this dynamic market,” highlighted the administrator.
For the Secretary of State for Economic Development, Mining and Energy (Sedeme), Paulo Bengtson, the initiative reinforces the role of Usina da Paz as a space for social transformation, promoting professional qualification and socioeconomic development.

Rosely Marcondes considers the course an excellent opportunity to acquire knowledge and expand her skills in organizing social events. "Currently, I work with events for families, but I seek to diversify my target audience. Through Usina, I am acquiring new knowledge that will allow me to improve the quality and variety of the events I organize," she emphasized.
Gracielle Churka, administrative coordinator of UsiPaz Cabanagem, highlighted that the partnership with Sedeme reinforces the commitment to offer qualification to the community. “It is a valuable opportunity to raise the quality of the courses, ensure certification, promote learning, and facilitate entry into the job market. We want participants not only to qualify but to apply this knowledge in their lives — both professional and personal — taking advantage of opportunities that, many times, would be inaccessible,” she stated. "We are offering the Event Pricing course. Many already work in the area and seek technical support; others want to acquire knowledge to also start their own business. Usina is that space for learning,” concluded the coordinator.
