The faith and devotion that mark the Círio de Nazaré will take over Estação das Docas this Thursday, September 18, at 11 am, when the pilgrim image of Our Lady of Nazaré will make a special visit to the complex. The program will feature a procession through the tourist space, bringing together faithful and visitors in a celebration that will peak at the Memorial do Porto, where a special rite open to the public will be held. It is a unique opportunity to experience up close the devotion that moves the city at this time of year.
The visit is the result of a partnership between the Civil Police of Pará, the Nazaré Festival Directorate, and the Social Organization Pará 2000. During the route, the Pilgrim Image will also pass by the Tourist Protection Delegation (DPTUR) of the Civil Police, located in the complex, in a symbolic gesture of faith and welcome.
“The Civil Police of Pará is pleased to be part of such an important cultural rite for the State of Pará and welcomes the pilgrim image with open arms, hoping that this will be an opportunity to be present for civil society,” highlights delegate Guilherme Gonçalves, who is in charge of DPTUR.
Soon, Estação das Docas will announce the official program of “Círio na Estação 2025,” with various cultural attractions. Already traditional in the Nazarene calendar, the event is awaited by the public as one of the most special moments of faith, culture, and celebration during the Círio period.
For Ruan Rocha, president of OS Pará 2000, the visit is a special invitation for everyone. “The presence of the pilgrim image in our space is a reason for great joy. It is a moment that unites faith, culture, and tradition, and reinforces Estação das Docas as a meeting and celebration place for all Pará residents during the Círio. We invite all our visitors to celebrate this special moment with us,” he emphasized.
