The executive director of the Polyclinic, Joabe Lopes, emphasizes that gynecological care at the unit symbolizes progress for the entire region. "We receive women from different municipalities who come seeking care and leave with renewed hope. We are not just a space for consultations, but a place that transforms lives and reaffirms the dignity of women's health," he highlighted.

Prevention

Caring for women's health is an act of listening, trust, and guidance that transforms lives. Gynecologist Patyelly Alves, who is part of the Polyclinic Carajás team, explains that each consultation goes beyond the technical aspect, creating bonds of closeness with patients. "Our work is to offer comprehensive attention, combining science and affection to prevent diseases and strengthen self-esteem," she emphasized.

The doctor reinforces that prevention should be a priority in women's routines. "Ideally, women should see a gynecologist at least once a year for clinical evaluation and to undergo the preventive exam of the cervix. This simple practice prevents complications, ensures early diagnoses, and guarantees a better quality of life," advised the professional.

The gynecologist also emphasizes that small care can have a significant impact on women's health. Among them are attention to intimate hygiene, avoiding excessive use of products, and keeping the vaccination schedule up to date, especially for specific vaccines that protect women's health.

Regulation - The services at the Polyclinic are directed by the State Regulation Center, linked to Sespa. To access the services, the user must seek a Basic Health Unit (UBS), obtain a referral, and present it to the Municipal Health Department of their city, which will register and schedule the appointment.
