Codec resumes dialogue with the city hall of Abaetetuba to advance in the work plan in the municipality
The online meeting marked the resumption of negotiations and paved the way for the construction of joint actions focused on bioeconomy, tourism, and strengthening the local productive base

The Pará Economic Development Company (Codec) held an online meeting on Thursday (11) with the city hall of Abaetetuba to resume institutional dialogue. The meeting marked the beginning of a new stage of cooperation, focusing on aligning actions and building a work plan that responds to local priorities and strengthens the municipality's economy.
Codec's Institutional Relations Manager, Augusto César Anunciação, emphasized that this is a moment of reconstruction and strategic alignment: "The idea, in this resumption of contact with Abaetetuba, is to understand how the business environment and the municipal administration's work are in relation to public policies for economic development, in order to seek harmony and alignment with what the Company has been structuring. Our goal is to identify points of convergence, understand how the State, through Codec, can contribute and add value to the initiatives already underway by the city hall, expanding the radar of joint actions and strengthening the local economy."
Meanwhile, the director of the Entrepreneur House and the Tourism Department of Abaetetuba, Néia Nery, reinforced the importance of active listening and valuing the productive base. "We always seek to look at the entrepreneur, the family farmer, and the small producer, who are the economic base of Abaetetuba. The miriti, fishing, and flour sustain our productive tradition, alongside community tourism and bioeconomy, which are already emerging as strategic axes. Resuming this partnership with Codec is essential to transform this potential into concrete results," she noted.

The meeting also highlighted recent initiatives from the municipality, such as strengthening community-based tourism, with the creation of new trails in quilombola and riverside areas, in addition to the inauguration of the Gigante Trail, the second largest in Pará. Another point of progress is the construction of the Municipal Tourism Plan, in partnership with Sebrae, within the Entrepreneurial City program.
Codec will assess the conditions of the municipality that allow progress in strategic areas related to bioeconomy, family agriculture, and sustainable tourism. From this resumption, a work plan will be developed in conjunction with the city hall and local partners, which should be presented at the next meeting, with the participation of commercial associations, cooperatives, unions, and technical support institutions.
