Sefa seizes industrial equipment valued at R$ 420 thousand in southeastern Pará
The cargo left Santa Tereza do Oeste (PR) heading to Rondon do Pará

During an inspection carried out on Monday (8) by inspectors assigned to the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Carajás, from the State Department of Finance (Sefa), in southeastern Pará, industrial equipment was seized: two weighbridges and a sample collector, valued at R$ 420 thousand.
The seizure occurred at the São Geraldo do Araguaia tax post when a truck transporting goods from the municipality of Santa Tereza do Oeste/PR, heading to Rondon do Pará, in southeastern Pará, was approached.
“The cargo consisted of industrial equipment valued at R$ 420 thousand, covered by an invoice issued with the nature of operation 'Shipment for Demonstration'. The analysis and inquiries made to Sefa's systems showed that, in reality, it was merchandise intended to remain in Pará. Thus, the operation constituted the circulation of taxable goods, subject to ICMS collection, with no proof of the due collection,” informed the unit coordinator, Cicinato Oliveira.
A Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was drawn up, in the amount of R$ 70,560.00, referring to the ICMS charge and fine.
