In Vitória do Xingu, Seap conducts courses aimed at qualifying and standardizing administrative and operational routines
This action is part of the policy of decentralizing courses for staff of penal units across all regions of Pará, promoted by the Penitentiary Administration School (EAP)

The State Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration (Seap), through the Penitentiary Administration School (EAP), completed a cycle of training focused on the technical and operational qualification of penal police officers and administrative staff of the Penitentiary Complex of Vitória do Xingu, in the southeastern region of the State.
Between August 26 and September 3, three courses were offered by the institution to the staff: Police Shooting Instruction – Module III (Rifle T4), Training in Digital Tools and Preparation of Official Documents (CFDOC), and the Armory Management and Weapon Maintenance Course (GAMA).
The Police Shooting Instruction with Rifle T4, held from August 26 to 28, had a workload of 24 hours and aimed to train penal police officers in the technical handling of the Taurus T4 rifle. The training covered safety rules, police shooting practices, and procedures for using the weapon, ensuring greater efficiency, effectiveness, and responsibility in field operations.
Also on August 27, the training in Digital Tools and Preparation of Official Documents (CFDOC) was conducted, lasting eight hours. The course is aimed at administrative staff and seeks to enhance the mastery of digital tools, such as Microsoft Word, as well as train participants in the preparation of official documents. Additionally, it included the use of the PAE 4.0 System, a fundamental tool for modernizing the management of processes and administrative documents at Seap.

To conclude the training cycle, from August 29 to September 3, the Armory Management and Weapon Maintenance Course (Gama) took place, with a workload of 40 hours, taught by instructor and penal police officer André Lopes, a member of the Penitentiary Action Group (GAP). The course provided students with theoretical classes and practical workshops on disassembly, cleaning, maintenance, repair, and assembly of institutional weapons. A total of 38 students participated - with 28 approved, highlighting the good performance of the class.
The director of EAP, Paulo Cunha, positively evaluated this stage of promoting courses in the interior units of the State. “With the realization of these three trainings, Seap reaffirms its commitment to the continuous training of staff, uniting technology, administrative management, and operational preparation to strengthen the penitentiary system of Pará,” he stated.
Standardization - Paulo Cunha adds that the action continues a determination from Secretary Marco Antônio Sirotheau Corrêa Rodrigues. After Santarém, Vitória do Xingu received the three simultaneous courses. “EAP is concerned with the qualification of its personnel, both from the perspective of penal police officers and also from the perspective of administrative staff, bringing tranquility, agility, and a standardized performance from both penal police and administrative staff,” he explained.
Regarding the participation of the functional staff, Cunha states that there is a very positive reception from the staff of the units being served. “With this, we gain in standardization of our procedures. This speeds up our daily tasks, ensuring that we have better quality in the execution of our activities,” assured the director.
The administrative coordinator of the UCR of Vitória do Xingu, Sheila Almeida Pimenta, participated in the CFDoc course. She says that the training was of utmost importance, as the course provided the necessary knowledge to guide and also demand the documentation produced in the unit, “to ensure it meets the standards of the Secretariat.”

“The knowledge acquired in the course, not only by me but also by the other staff in the administrative sector, ensured that all documentation produced in the unit follows a single standard, regardless of who is doing it. Additionally, it presented tools in the PAE system, which allowed us to better organize the routine of attending to the demands received by the system,” said the staff member.
Penal police officer Thales has been assigned to UCR Vitória do Xingu for two and a half years and participated in both operational courses on armory and the use of the Rifle T4. The officer evaluates that the courses are fundamental due to the constant use of these weapons and also the knowledge of the armory.
“In this way, continuous training is necessary for us to learn new topics, stay updated on the subject, as well as correct actions that we were not performing adequately. Acquiring new knowledge and staying updated on the theme is always of utmost importance for public servants, as it enables more efficient service and a safer and more controlled work environment,” concluded the penal police officer.
