PCPA and PCDF execute search and seizure warrant and arrest man in the act for drug trafficking
Approximately 270 'magic mushrooms', fungi with active ingredients of narcotic substances, were found, in addition to various packaging, labels, scales, vacuum sealers, and stickers with the suspect's logo.
On the morning of this Thursday (4), the Civil Police of Pará, through the State Narcotics Division (Denarc), and the Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF), through the Drug Suppression Coordination (Cord/PD), launched Operation 'Psychosis'. The action took place in Pará, in 6 other states of the federation, and in the Federal District.
“Initially, our teams were called to provide operational support to the PCDF. We monitored the suspicious activities of the target that indicated the sale of psychotropic substances on the internet. The target was in the Canudos neighborhood, where the search and seizure of approximately 270 fungi of the species Psilocybe cubensis, known as 'magic mushrooms', was carried out, which contained the substances psilocybin and psilocin, which are prohibited by Anvisa from being sold,” explained Delegate Davi Cordeiro, director of Denarc.
Labels, various packaging, scales, stickers with the suspect's logo, and other materials that proved the illegal sale of the product were also seized. The individual who was at the search location was arrested in the act for drug trafficking.
“The team will continue the investigations, aiming to reach other members of the criminal association that sells and distributes narcotics. The joint action reinforces the importance of the collaboration between PCPA and PCDF, demonstrating that cooperation between state security forces is essential in combating drug trafficking,” concluded the delegate.
