Identification Post of the ParáPaz Foundation celebrates three years and has already issued around 30 thousand ID cards in Belém
Three years of operation, nearly 30 thousand IDs issued, and guaranteed access to citizenship

This August, the Identification Post located at the headquarters of the ParáPaz Foundation in Belém celebrates three years of operation. The unit, a result of a partnership with the Civil Police, has already issued approximately 30 thousand identity cards, providing an essential service for free, accessible, and with same-day delivery.
The service allows for the issuance of the first and additional copies of the document at no cost, which has made a difference in the lives of many families. Ana Maria de Almeida, who received her ID on Friday morning (29), made a point of praising the service.
“I came to the Foundation through a friend who already got her ID here; she made my appointment, and I was well received from the reception. This service is very important, especially because it guarantees free access. There are many people who cannot afford to pay the fees charged in other places, and this makes life easier for these people as well,” she said.

For the president of the ParáPaz Foundation, Alberto Teixeira, the milestone achieved in these three years is a source of pride and reinforces the social role of the institution.
“We are very happy to know that nearly 30 thousand people have passed through here to obtain their identity document quickly and for free. The identity is the gateway to citizenship, and ensuring this right in an accessible manner is part of ParáPaz's mission,” he emphasized.
How to access the service - Appointments for the issuance of the first and additional copies of the identity document are made exclusively via WhatsApp, at the number (91) 98510-8012, from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. The post does not attend to spontaneous demands.

To complete the issuance, it is necessary to present: Birth or marriage certificate (original and copy); 2 recent 3x4 photos and proof of residence.
Other documents may also be included, such as SUS card, NIS, PIS, voter registration, driver's license, or work card. Minors under 16 must be accompanied by parents or legal guardians.
The unit coordinator, Beatriz Lopes, emphasizes that the appointment process is done according to the order of arrival of messages and asks for users' understanding. According to her, everyone who seeks the service will be attended to, and the team's goal is to ensure that no one is left without access to the document.
