The goods were being transported from Tucumã to Barcarena, both in Pará

During an inspection carried out at the tax office of the State Department of Finance (Sefa) on Wednesday (27), state revenue inspectors assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit in Carajás, southeast of the State, seized 49,560 kg of copper ore, goods transported from Tucumã to Barcarena, both in Pará.

The seizure occurred at the tax office of the Carajás Railway, on the Transamazon Highway, in the municipality of Marabá. “The cargo was covered by an invoice indicating the transport of 44,000 kg of copper ore. However, after weighing the vehicle on a scale, it was found that the amount actually transported was 49,560 kg, a value greater than that declared on the invoice. The excess was not covered by valid tax documentation, characterizing the circulation of goods without an invoice,” reported the coordinator of the tax unit, Cicinato Oliveira.

The excess of the goods was valued at R$ 64,419.48, and a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) of R$ 17,135.58 was issued, referring to the ICMS and fine.
