Mangal das Garças promotes Boi-Bumbá Production Workshop in honor of Folklore Day

On next Sunday (24), the Mangal das Garças Zoobotanical Park in Belém will have a special program for children, in celebration of Folklore Day - August 22. In another edition of Ecoarte, children will have the opportunity to participate in a Boi-Bumbá production workshop. The event will take place starting at 10 a.m. in the Park's amphitheater, with free participation.

Cumbuca - Creative Workshops has prepared a program with crafts for children to learn and connect with the roots of Pará. Each participant will be able to create their own Boi-Bumbá with materials provided on site.

“Actions like these are designed so that our children can enjoy popular culture in all its forms, keeping this fundamental part of our region and our nation alive in the imagination of all generations,” said Fernanda Scaramuzzini, Marketing Coordinator of OS Pará 2000, which manages Mangal das Garças.

Ecoarte is a weekly project promoted by the Government of Pará, through the State Tourism Secretariat (Setur) and the Social Organization Pará 2000, aimed at promoting environmental education in a playful and fun way for children.

DAILY PROGRAMMING

The Mangal das Garças Park maintains a daily program for the public to enjoy the space any day of the week:

8:30 a.m. – Feeding the iguanas
9:00 a.m. – Tour with daytime raptors (Tuesday to Friday)
10:00 a.m. – Release of butterflies (check at the ticket office)
10:15 a.m. – Feeding the turtles
11:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. – Feeding the herons
5:00 p.m. – Tour with the owls (Tuesday to Friday)

Service: Ecoarte Project, with Boi-Bumbá Workshop, at 10 a.m. in the amphitheater of the Mangal das Garças Zoobotanical Park. Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (closed on Mondays for maintenance). Free entry.
Access to monitored spaces (Butterfly House and Memorial): R$ 9.00 (full) and R$ 4.50 (half).
