The team of state revenue inspectors seized on Wednesday (20), 47 tons of corn in grains, merchandise from Curionópolis-PA destined for Marabá-PA. The officials are assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Carajás, of the Secretary of Finance of Pará (Sefa), in the southeast of the State.

The seizure occurred at the fiscal post of the Carajás Railway, on the Transamazon Highway, in the municipality of Marabá. “A vehicle transporting merchandise was approached and, after document analysis and consultations with Sefa's systems, it was found that the cargo of corn in grains, valued at R$ 51,744.00, was accompanied by an invoice that had already been used previously to cover another shipment of the merchandise, characterizing irregularity in the operation. This irregularity is known as 'traveling invoice',” said the coordinator of the tax unit, Cicinato Oliveira.

To collect the tax and fine, a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up in the total amount of R$ 17,696.45.
