On this Tuesday and Wednesday, the 19th and 20th, civil police from the Department for the Suppression of Criminal Factions (DRFC), linked to the Division for the Suppression of Organized Crime (DRCO), with the support of the Police Intelligence Center (NIP), arrested six individuals investigated for being members of a criminal faction. One of the arrested operates in the municipality of Santa Izabel do Pará and holds the positions of “tower” and treasurer in the organization.

“The police action took place during the 13th phase of Operation ‘Parabellum’, which was launched to execute preventive arrest warrants and search and seizure orders against the suspects. The police moved to the rural area of the municipality of Santa Bárbara, where one of the targets was hiding and had a stash of narcotic substances, which were sent to the municipality of Santa Izabel do Pará to supply sales points that belong to him,” explained delegate Juliano Corrêa, director of the DRCO.

At the location, drugs, cell phones, notes, and a vehicle used by the suspect to transport narcotics from one municipality to another were seized.

Another five individuals were arrested in Mosqueiro, Vila dos Cabanos, Medicilândia, and Barcarena in Pará, and in Itajaí in the state of Santa Catarina, in compliance with the warrants issued by the Organized Crime Combat Court, following a ministerial opinion from GAECO/MPPA,” concluded the delegate.

Summary and continuation of investigations

So far, the DRFC has made 151 arrests just in the year 2025 against members of criminal organizations and has managed to materialize crimes linked to them, such as extortion, drug trafficking, and other related crimes.

The police action also included the operational work of the Investigation Support Centers (NAI) of Abaetetuba and Altamira, both linked to the NIP, and the Police Stations of Mosqueiro, Jacundá, Vila dos Cabanos, Barcarena Sede, and Medicilândia, in addition to the support of the Civil Police of Santa Catarina, demonstrating the integrated action of the PCPA against criminal factions.

All those arrested are already at the disposal of the Justice, and the investigations continue in order to locate and arrest other members of the criminal organization.
