The Hemodialysis Center of the General Hospital of Tailândia (HGT) organized a reception yesterday (18) to mark the return of one of its users. The team prepared the space with posters, balloons, and messages, creating a moment of reunion between the patient, family, colleagues, and professionals. The initiative aimed to welcome the user's return to the unit after a period of absence from regular sessions.

Alex da Silva, 47 years old, started hemodialysis treatment in the municipality on March 7, 2025. By the time of his return, he had already completed 66 sessions. The temporary absence occurred due to other health complications, and with the resumption of treatment, he reunited with the team and colleagues with whom he maintains relationships in the hospital unit.

To mark this return, professionals from the department created signs with welcome messages, expressing encouragement for the continuation of treatment. The reception also included the presence of family members, who accompanied the moment and participated in the tribute organized by the group.

According to nephrologist nurse Jenifer Ribeiro, the activity was designed to highlight the importance of the bond established in the care process. "This gesture shows that treatment goes beyond technique. The welcome strengthens the patient and reinforces the importance of the team being present at every stage of care," emphasized the professional.

After the reception, Alex proceeded to the scheduled session of the day. He reported that he did not expect the surprise and commented on the experience of reuniting with the group. "I didn't expect to be welcomed this way. It was important to meet my friends again and feel the affection of the team that has always been with me," expressed the user.

The routine of hemodialysis requires frequent presence of patients in the service, which ends up bringing users, family members, and professionals closer together. In Alex's case, the reunion represented not only the continuation of treatment but also the resumption of daily interactions in the space where he has built relationships over the past months.

"Currently, in addition to Alex, we are following 45 other users in treatment at our center. The team works continuously to ensure the necessary assistance and ensure that the service fulfills its role in strengthening public health in the municipality and the region," emphasized the HGT's assistant manager, Milton Peixoto.

Data - With almost eight months of operation, the Hemodialysis Center of the General Hospital of Tailândia (HGT) has already performed more than 2,710 sessions, with an average of 450 monthly attendances. The unit monitors 45 active patients, with sessions from Monday to Saturday, in two shifts. In addition to dialysis, the service includes consultations, exams, and clinical follow-up, with a satisfaction rate of 95%.
