State tax inspectors seized 35 tons of cassava flour on Monday (18). The team operates in the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of the State Department of Finance (Sefa) of Gurupi, in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, on the border of Pará with Maranhão.
“Invoices for cassava flour were presented, originating from Marcolândia (PI) and destined for the city of Breves (PA) with a negligible value. The vehicle was then inspected and confirmed to be carrying flour, as specified in the invoices. Upon analyzing the recipient company's history in the system, it was identified that it was recently opened, had its registration suspended, and had entered into irregular status multiple times,” explained the unit coordinator, Gustavo Bozola.

The merchandise value was readjusted according to the State's minimum price bulletin, totaling R$ 145,950.00, and the Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was issued in the amount of R$ 38,822.70, referring to tax and fine.
