On August 19, 20, and 21, the Amazon Foundation for Support of Studies and Research (Fapespa) promotes the III Seminar on Regional Accounts and Bioeconomy in Belém, at the auditorium of the Association of Employees of the Bank of the Amazon. The event is part of the actions of the Pará Network for Studies on Regional Accounts and Bioeconomy, an initiative resulting from a strategic partnership between Fapespa, the Federal University of Southern and Southeastern Pará (UNIFESSPA), the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), and the Federal University of Western Pará (UFOPA).

Coordinated by Fapespa, the Pará Network for Studies on Regional Accounts and Bioeconomy was created to measure bioeconomy in Pará, its social impacts, and identify still invisible segments of this economy, enhancing the understanding of the sector and highlighting its complexity and potential.

With a diverse program, the seminar's main objective is to consolidate a qualified space for debate on the challenges and opportunities of integrating regional accounts and bioeconomy in the Amazon context, as well as to strengthen methodologies and strategies of the Pará Network aimed at the sustainable development of the region.

The program includes theoretical discussion panels, technical sessions, research feedback sessions, results sharing, and strategic planning, addressing topics such as bioeconomy production chains, public policies, impacts of climate emergency, among others.

Among the participants of the event will be researchers from the universities involved in the project and interested parties. The event reinforces the role of Pará institutions in the production of applied scientific knowledge and in the formulation of public policies committed to sustainability, innovation, and the appreciation of Amazonian resources and knowledge.
