The Government of Pará authorized, on the afternoon of this Friday (15), the start of construction of 19 concrete bridges in the municipality of Paragominas, in the Rio Capim Integration Region, in the southeast of the State. The Service Order was signed by Governor Helder Barbalho, alongside Vice Governor Hana Ghassan, during an administrative agenda in the region.

Regarding the importance of investment in road infrastructure, Helder Barbalho emphasized that it is "necessary to have less bureaucracy, more legal security, predictability, peace in the countryside, and also logistics and roads to be able to flow our production. And here we show, with the PA-254, how transformation occurs when a road arrives. See how the integration of Paragominas to Tomé-Açu was before the bridge over the Rio Capim, and how it is today. Before the asphalt connecting Paragominas to Tomé-Açu, Tailândia, and even the PA-150. We managed to advance integrating with the Belém-Brasília (BR-010) and with the PA-150, which are the two main roads in this region of Pará. And with these bridges, whose works begin today, and with our government's commitment, we will further integrate this region, generating jobs, income, and development for the municipality of Paragominas and all of Pará."

Hana Ghassan: infrastructure to generate jobs

Vice Governor Hana Ghassan also highlighted the relevance and scope of the project. "This will be a moment that will go down in history because we are talking about an investment that will enable the construction of 19 concrete bridges, over a stretch of almost 180 kilometers. Our government is a government that works with fiscal balance and future planning. We are launching this investment and starting this partnership because we have a future project in mind, based on this investment, which is the revenue from this highway. We need infrastructure in our State, so that it can develop more and more and generate more jobs for our population," emphasized Hana Ghassan.

Safe Traffic - The work will be carried out in partnership with the Municipal City Hall of Paragominas, through a partnership agreement, to replace old wooden structures, ensuring more safety, durability, and better traffic conditions for the population and the flow of local production.

The construction of the bridges is eagerly awaited by the residents. For Ubaldino Pavão Sá, a resident of the Caip community, the initiative represents the fulfillment of a long-standing demand. "Today, I can say that we are living a historic moment for our community because we are receiving a great project that we have been waiting for a long time. We were going through a lot of difficulties, and now this wonderful news has come. We are very anxious for the start of these works," he stated.

Osias Reis: bridges with durability

Osias Reis, also a resident of the community, emphasized the positive impact on daily life. "For us, residents of Caip, it is more than a gift because we have been fighting for many years to achieve this benefit. Now, with the construction of these concrete bridges, in this new phase, it is a great success. The bridges will have more durability and will improve our lives," he assured.

The investment is part of the volume of works of the state government aimed at improving the road network and regional development, reinforcing the commitment to modernizing infrastructure and ensuring the safety and well-being of the population.
