Patients from the Hospital do Baixo Amazonas enjoy a ride on the Talismã Truck in Santarém
Children undergoing treatment at the unit toured the city's streets accompanied by Fofão, Mário, and Luigi and approved of the playful experience

The little Hadassa Melo, 9 years old, was one of the most excited during the ride, organized by the Dr. Waldemar Penna Regional Hospital of Baixo Amazonas (HRBA), in Santarém, in western Pará, this Thursday (14).
Hadassa danced, jumped, sang, and had a great time. She has been receiving treatment at HRBA for four years, and this was her first experience like this. For her, the characters were the main attraction.
"It was cool, fun. I had a lot of fun. What I liked the most were the characters. Fofinho and Mário are my favorites," she said.

Hadassa was among about 20 patients, accompanied by family members and the hospital's multidisciplinary team. Everyone boarded the Talismã Truck and toured the city with music, dance, and joy.
"This ride was very well thought out and articulated. The children who come here for treatment this time came for this special moment. We had patients who are hospitalized here and managed to go out and others who receive oncological care. It was a happy moment, of relaxation and fun. And for us, it is gratifying to be able to provide this," said HRBA's humanization supervisor, Karine Campos.

The action was carried out through a partnership between the hospital's humanization sector; the volunteer project Friends of God's Angels, which supports children undergoing oncological treatment and chronic diseases and their families; the City Hall of Santarém through the Mobility and Traffic Department; and the organization of the Talismã Truck, which already carries out this work bringing fun to Santarém families.
"It was truly amazing. I was moved to see the children happy, enjoying themselves and stepping out of the hospital routine. This is important for their treatment. Congratulations to the Regional Hospital for this very important moment," highlighted the coordinator of the Friends of God's Angels project, Aldenora Andrade.

Characters - The Truck that took the children is fully illuminated, with children's songs playing throughout the ride. The patients were accompanied at all times by doctors, nurses, technicians, and other hospital professionals to ensure safety during the route, which left HRBA and went to the city's waterfront.
But besides them, the ride also featured three special companions: the characters Fofão, Mário, and Luigi animated the entire journey. During the truck's stops, they would get down and dance to entertain the children, as well as attempt flips and jumps. At the end of the ride, they came up to hug and take pictures with the little ones.

The artist who works on the truck as Luigi did not want to reveal his secret identity but stated that bringing joy to people is always gratifying. "For us, it is always special. A huge pleasure. Regardless of age, children, adults, and even the elderly. We express happiness to all of them," he emphasized.
For those who saw so much happiness on their daughter's face during the ride, this is a moment that will be marked. "It was wonderful. Super amazing. The children had fun, danced a lot. She stepped out of her routine. Besides coming for consultations and exams, she got this ride. It was very important," explained Hadassa's mother, Jennifer Melo.

"This ride provided, in a very cool, outgoing, and lively way, an unforgettable experience for the children. The Regional Hospital is a place of welcome and treatment, and beyond health, we always seek the well-being of our patients. Humanization is one of the great pillars of our management. And it was with this intention that we carried out this moment. I am very happy and hope it is the first of many," concluded the HRBA's general director, Matheus Coutinho.
