The Economic Development Company of Pará (Codec) received, on Tuesday (12), representatives from Mizu Cimentos, a company located in the Industrial District of Ananindeua and nationally recognized for the quality of its products and commitment to sustainability.

A pioneer in the sector, Mizu is the only factory in Brazil to use eco-friendly cement bags, which can be placed directly in the concrete mixer along with the product, without the need for separate disposal of the packaging. This initiative reduces environmental impacts and reinforces socio-environmental responsibility in civil construction.

During the meeting, held at Codec's headquarters, the company presented socio-environmental actions it develops in Pará, such as providing infrastructure for biodigesters and supporting the establishment of an eco-library on Combu Island. It also requested Codec's support to address demands with the State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainability (Semas), a strategic partner of the Company.

“Mizu represents exactly the type of investment we seek for Pará: innovative, sustainable, and committed to regional growth. From prospecting to consolidation in the Industrial District of Ananindeua, Codec has been a partner in this journey and will continue to support initiatives that generate jobs, income, and development for our State,” said Manoel Ibiapina, Director of Investment Attraction at Codec.

Attending the meeting from Mizu Cimentos were Andrei Lira, regional leader, and Glenderson Silva, factory leader. From Codec, present were the Director of Investment and Business Attraction, Manoel Ibiapina; the Technical Director, Ruy Klautau; the Manager of Institutional Relations, Augusto César; and the Manager of Environment and Sustainability, Amanda Karolina Santos.
