The exhibition "SOLOS: Interpenetrable Territories" is open to the public at the Cultural Space Casa das Onze Janelas in Belém. Curated by the educational team of the Space, the exhibition brings together artworks made with natural elements taken from the soil, such as clay, iron, and minerals, proposing a dialogue between art and sciences like biology, geology, and geography.

The exhibition's proposal involves three sections, called Natural Bodies, Interpenetrable Territories, and Other Territories, and includes photographs, sculptures, videos, installations, and rock samples provided by the Gem Museum of Pará, located in the São José Liberto Space.

The exhibition takes place at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Casa das Onze Janelas, with free visitation from Tuesday to Thursday, from 9 AM to 2 PM, and on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

"Layers and Dimensions" - Regarding the sections of the exhibition, Milena Claudino, a museum educator, explains that Natural Bodies addresses the displacement of people from the Amazon; Interpenetrable Territories features photographs, including those of the Trans-Amazonian Highway, by Paula Sampaio, and records by Miguel Chikaoka in towns in the interior of Pará, such as Tucuruí, Marabá, and Itaituba, while Other Territories relates artworks produced with natural elements.

“It is very important to exhibit these works in this exhibition, as our goal is to expand the notion of territory in all its layers and dimensions,” said Milena.

According to the director of Casa das Onze Janelas, Albacelhe Braga, the exhibition was designed to stimulate reflections on the preservation of the Amazon. “It is essential that art commits to environmental themes and climate symptoms, and that is exactly what ‘SOLOS’ proposes,” she states.

Free workshops are part of the cultural program

Amazonian Colors - In addition to visiting the exhibition, the public can participate in free painting workshops held on Saturdays from 9 AM to 5 PM. The activity is free and uses naturally colored clays and Amazonian seeds to produce paints, creating an experience that combines artistic practice and environmental awareness.

The exhibition includes accessibility resources, including Braille, digital Libras, audio description, and tactile replicas. The age classification is free.
