Sefa seizes more than 5 tons of motorcycle parts and 20 tons of scrap
The seizures occurred in the areas covered by the coordination of goods in transit control of Araguaia and Carajás

Inspection carried out by the team from the Coordination of goods in transit control of Araguaia, from the State Department of Finance (Sefa), on the PA-447 highway, KM-15, in Conceição do Araguaia, southern Pará, seized 5,630 kilograms of motorcycle parts and tires on Friday (8). The goods were valued at R$ 236,750.64.
“The driver of a box truck presented non-fiscal documents for the transfer between the parent company of the motorcycle rental, originating from São Paulo (SP) and destined for Ananindeua (PA). However, since the goods were being transported without the fiscal document, the seizure was carried out,” said the unit coordinator, Renato Couto.
A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up, valued at R$ 80,969.72, for goods lacking a fiscal document.
Scrap - State tax auditors stationed at the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Carajás, in the southeast of the State, also seized 20,000 kg of aluminum scrap on Friday, coming from Altamira (PA) destined for Santo André (SP). The seizure occurred at the fiscal post of KM-09 of the Transamazon Highway (BR-230), in Marabá.

“The document analysis and consultation with Sefa's systems revealed that the operation had been declared as exempt from ICMS. However, after verification, it was found that there was no legal basis for the application of the exemption, and the ICMS was due in advance upon the exit of the scrap from the territory of Pará,” informed the coordinator, Cicinato Oliveira.
The goods were valued at R$ 290,000.00. The auditors drew up the Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD), valued at R$ 48,720.00, considering the ICMS and the fine.
