Government of Pará delivers Sports Square and authorizes construction of Sports Complex in Santa Luzia do Pará
Investments strengthen urban infrastructure and expand access to sports and leisure in the northeastern municipality of Pará

The Government of the State of Pará delivered, this Friday (8), the new Sports Square "Ademir Oliveira", located on BR-316, in Santa Luzia do Pará, in the northeastern region of the state. The ceremony also marked the signing of the Service Order for the construction of the municipality's Sports Complex, as part of the "Sports and Leisure Squares throughout Pará" program.
The new Sports Square on Avenida occupies a built area of 3,222.29 m² and was designed to offer leisure, sports, and accessibility to the population. The space includes: an outdoor gym with 10 equipment; a skate park; a playground; a bandstand; a food court with three kiosks; three viewpoints, one featuring the image of Santa Luzia; PM Box; parking with 216.66 m²; a walkway with 1,276.65 m²; five external access ramps and one internal ramp, all adapted for people with disabilities (PwDs); sidewalks with tactile paving for the safety of visually impaired individuals; landscaping with green areas.

The project represents an investment of R$ 1,784,629.93, financed by the State Government, through the State Secretariat of Sports and Leisure (Seel).
During the delivery, Governor Helder Barbalho highlighted the commitment to the growth of municipalities and the strengthening of the partnership with Santa Luzia do Pará.
“Seeing this city grow and develop makes us happy. This is our goal: to make Pará advance in all regions. The Square we delivered today is already a landmark, and with the signing of the Service Order, we will begin a modern complex, with a multi-sports court, synthetic field, skate park, space for culture and commerce, gym, and much more. It is the State Government working together with the city hall to transform people's lives,” said the governor.

Vice Governor Hana Ghassan reinforced the importance of proximity to the population and the union between the State and municipalities:
“We are a government that listens, that looks people in the eye and is present in all municipalities. We know there is still much to be done, but it is gratifying to look back and see how far we have come together. In November, when Pará will welcome the world for COP 30, we will be able to show all the good things we have built, including here in Santa Luzia,” she emphasized.

In addition to the governor and the vice, the ceremony was attended by the State Secretary of Sports and Leisure, Cássio Andrade, the mayor of Santa Luzia, Ademor Aires, the president of the Legislative Assembly, Deputy Chicão, and state deputies Cilene Couto and Wanderlan Quaresma.
Space for citizenship and inclusion
The new structure is already impacting the daily lives of residents. The farmer Antônia Elma, a resident of the municipality, celebrated the delivery. “It is a significant improvement for the city. Now we have an accessible space for children and young people, especially the skate park, which did not exist before. It was a good job by our manager,” she commented.

The State Secretary of Sports and Leisure, Cássio Andrade, celebrated another delivery of the program and the progress in implementing public inclusion policies. “The delivery of the Sports Square is a concrete step in the mission to bring sports, leisure, and inclusion to all corners of Pará. And with the authorization to start the works of the Sports Complex, we are beginning a new phase with structural investments that value sports as a tool for citizenship,” he stated.
Sports Complex: a new milestone for Santa Luzia
The future project is part of the "Sports and Leisure Squares throughout Pará" program, which plans to build 40 sports complexes in various municipalities. The first phase will cover 20 locations, including Santa Luzia do Pará.

The standard project will include: a covered multi-sports court; a synthetic grass soccer field; a sand court for volleyball and other modalities; a skate park; an outdoor gym; a walking track and kiosks for food and commerce.

The works will begin simultaneously in the municipalities covered, with an estimated delivery time of 12 months.
