Jean Bitar Hospital (HJB), in Belém, a unit of the public network of the Government of Pará, managed by the National Institute of Social and Human Development (INDSH), in partnership with the State Department of Public Health (Sespa), achieves another maintenance of the ONA Level 2 certification (Fully Accredited). The evaluation, conducted by the National Accreditation Organization (ONA), certifies that the institution follows strict standards of safety, quality, and integrated management in its care and administrative processes.

More than just maintaining a national seal of excellence, the Hospital reinforces its daily commitment to continuous improvement, a culture of quality, and safe and humanized care for its patients. The ONA 2 certification is granted only to institutions that, in addition to meeting safety criteria, demonstrate integration between processes and consistent advances in quality management.

Giovani Merenda, Executive Director of HJB

“The maintenance of the Accreditation reflects the collective effort of all teams. It is the result of serious work, committed to public health and the pursuit of constant improvement of the services provided to the population of Pará,” says the Hospital Administrator, Giovani Merenda, Executive Director of HJB.

The accreditation journey of Jean Bitar Hospital is also marked by the active involvement of its employees in ongoing education actions, monitoring of indicators, innovation in care protocols, and active listening to users. These pillars strengthen a solid and mature organizational culture, recognized nationally.

Excellence that transforms lives

For patients, the certification translates into safer care, with standardized processes, a welcoming environment, and qualified professionals. For employees, it is confirmation that they work in a hospital that values quality and professional development.

“Our focus is always the patient. Maintaining ONA 2 Accreditation shows that we are on the right track, but it also challenges us to continue advancing, innovating, and caring with even more excellence,” concludes the coordinator of the Quality and Patient Safety Center (NQSP), Erica Borges.

Housewife, Renalandia Fiel underwent bariatric surgery: "I have another life with my health restored," she said.

My life before was very difficult, and now I have another life with my health restored, I can only thank, as I am always well treated in this hospital,” said Renalandia Fiel, 48 years old, a housewife from the city of Belém, who is a patient of the Zero Obesity Program.
