State Government delivers 14 municipal hospitals in the last two years
Investment qualifies the state public health service and strengthens the care network for the population in all regions of Pará
From 2023 to 2025, the State Government, in partnership with municipal governments, reinforces its commitment to public health through the construction and reconstruction of 14 municipal hospitals. An investment of R$ 45 million.
“Each completed project represents more dignity, safety, and quality in service to the population. These investments strengthen the care network and ensure the well-being of people in all regions of Pará,” emphasizes Ivete Vaz, head of the State Department of Public Health (Sespa).
Among the municipalities benefiting from the works are Jacundá, Bannach, Tucumã, Eldorado dos Carajás, Santana do Araguaia, São Domingos do Capim, Soure, Sapucaia, Cumaru do Norte, Vigia, Aveiro, Monte Alegre, Itupiranga, and Curralinho.
'Hospitals ensure better treatment conditions,' says nurse The nursing technician, Joana dos Santos, from São Domingos do Capim in northeastern Pará, highlights the improvements experienced in her daily work after the delivery of the municipal hospital. “Today, we can develop better work. We have a more suitable red room and new equipment, which allow us to ensure better treatment conditions for the patient,” she said.
In Itupiranga, cook Lucélia Carvalho, in the southeastern state, emphasizes the importance of advancements in health in the Tucuruí Integration Region. "We now have a new hospital structure and new equipment. These investments benefit everyone in the region, and we can only thank the Government for ensuring that our health is increasingly strengthened."
Other municipal hospitals have also been delivered in the current administration. In 2019, the Guajará Integration Region (RI) received the reconstruction of the Public Hospital of Breu Branco, and Marajó, the Municipal Hospital of Anajás “Teonila Alves.” In 2020, Castelo dos Sonhos, in the RI Xingu, was awarded the delivery of the General Public Hospital "João Trevian Sobrinho," and Ourém, in the RI Rio Capim, had its municipal hospital reconstructed.
