Military Police arrests armed duo after robbery in the Cremação neighborhood
The stolen cell phones from the tapiocaria were returned to the victims after the action of the 20th Battalion of the PM
A quick action by the Military Police of Pará resulted in the flagrant arrest of two men accused of robbery and illegal possession of a firearm in the Guamá neighborhood of Belém on Saturday morning (3). The occurrence was recorded around 9:50 AM and mobilized teams from the 20th Battalion of the PM, linked to the Capital Police Command I (CPC I).
The suspects had just committed a robbery at a tapiocaria located on Rua dos Mundurucus in the Cremação neighborhood. A citizen who witnessed the crime followed the suspects on a motorcycle and called the police, who began to track them.

The chase continued along Travessa 14 de Abril with Mundurucus and ended at the Guamá Market, where the two men were detained. One of them, 25 years old, was armed with a .32 caliber pistol with the serial number filed off, containing 12 intact rounds. Two cell phones stolen from the victims were also found with him.
The second suspect, 30 years old, was located and arrested inside a butcher shop within the market. The motorcycle used in the crime was also seized, and after investigation, it was found to have been stolen the day before by one of the accused.
The victims were able to recover their cell phones. The suspects were taken to the São Brás Sectional, where legal procedures were initiated.

The action was supported by the 20th BPM (Community Battalion), under the command of Major Érika and Captain Mariano. According to the major, the action reflects the Military Police's commitment to the safety of the population. “The prompt response of our teams demonstrates the Military Police's commitment to the safety of the population. Thanks to the integrated action and the collaboration of the community, we were able to recover the victims' belongings and remove another illegal weapon from circulation,” she stated.
