The Economic Development Company of Pará (Codec) received, this Friday (25), the superintendents of the Bank of the Amazon (Basa), Heitor Abadessa and Leonardo Madeira, for an institutional meeting aimed at strengthening the partnership between the two institutions. The meeting focused on aligning joint strategies to promote sustainable economic development in the State, with an emphasis on supporting investors and financing regional productive projects.

During the meeting, the superintendents presented the bank's new operational methodology, which will adopt a segmented model by audience profile and economic activity, in addition to the traditional geographical division. The change aims to improve the effectiveness of service to entrepreneurs and expand the credit offer according to the specificities of each sector.

Codec, in turn, highlighted the advances in projects aimed at consolidating the industrial sector in Pará, reinforcing the strategic vocation of the State for areas such as mining, agribusiness, bioeconomy, and logistics. Ways to integrate the Company's operations with the new organizational structure of Basa were also discussed, with the aim of facilitating access to credit and supporting the strengthening of sustainable industrial enterprises in the municipalities of Pará.

Superintendent Heitor Abadessa reiterated Basa's commitment to regional development and stated: "All projects presented by Codec are analyzed seriously, within what the bank understands as fundamental for the development of the region." He also praised the Company's performance: "Codec is differentiated, and we like to work with you. It is a team that operates with responsibility and strategic vision."

Superintendent Leonardo Madeira reinforced that Basa's new approach expands the institution's reach to entrepreneurs: "Regardless of size, they will be served by us. Our goal is to support everyone from small producers to large structuring projects."

Representing Codec, the directors Manoel Ibiapina, of Investment Attraction (DAIN) and Pádua Rodrigues, of Strategy and Institutional Relations (DERI), as well as Sabrina Sena, manager of New Business, participated in the meeting.

For director Manoel Ibiapina, the approach with the bank expands the possibilities of turning projects into concrete actions. "Technically, we want things to come off the paper. We work to turn good ideas into projects that generate real development for the State," he stated.

Manager Sabrina Sena highlighted the importance of technical dialogue between the teams and praised the professional quality of Basa's technical staff: "It is essential for us to understand the operating modes of the bank so that we can guide entrepreneurs and investors who seek Codec more assertively. Basa's workforce is highly qualified, which directly contributes to the success of the financed projects."

The meeting reinforces the institutional commitment of Codec and Basa to building a solid, transparent business environment focused on generating jobs, income, and sustainable development throughout the Pará territory.
