In Salinópolis, the Government of Pará delivers the second walkway at Praia do Maçarico
The equipment boosts tourism and income generation; new works were also announced for the municipality

The residents of Salinópolis and visitors to the municipality gained another option for leisure and contemplation on the Pará Atlantic coast. This Thursday (24), the Government of Pará delivered the second urban walkway providing access to Praia do Maçarico. The public equipment is the new postcard of the city, boosting tourism and generating jobs and income for the local population, which consists of more than 48,000 people.

"I am in love with this city! In my childhood, my parents gave me the privilege of spending vacations and holidays here. This is a paradise that God placed in Pará and, if possible, we will always collaborate to make it even more beautiful. We are delivering a space that will generate jobs and income, stimulating the tourist vocation of this municipality," said Governor Helder Barbalho, alongside the State's First Lady, Daniela Barbalho.

During the ceremony, the governor announced new works for Salinópolis, such as the delivery of the third walkway of Maçarico, the construction of the Usina da Paz, water supply and sewage works, requalification of the city entrance, and expansion of the municipal hospital.
"On October 22, Salinópolis' anniversary, we will deliver the Usina da Paz, so that the population of the municipality can experience this extraordinary moment that Pará is living," highlighted Helder Barbalho.

Vice Governor Hana Ghassan also celebrated the delivery. "Each work we deliver has its importance, such as the jobs generated. I have an emotional memory and always say that one day I will live in Salinas. Today, in any municipality, we have works to show, with quality and commitment," she stated.

Modern and inclusive structure
With a length of 380 meters, the new walkway features a bike lane, sidewalks for pedestrians, kiosks, restrooms, showers, landscaping, tactile signage, access ramps, a bike rack, lighting poles, and spaces for informal commerce. The structure connects the waterfront of Praia do Maçarico to Rua João Pessoa, respecting the environment with minimal impact.

"The walkways are generating income, attracting and strengthening tourism. I thank Governor Helder Barbalho and Vice Governor Hana Ghassan for addressing the demands of our municipality," said the mayor of Salinópolis, Kaká Sena.
Popular approval
A resident of the city, Osmarina Almeida celebrated the new structure: "It’s wonderful! I loved it, I’ve walked from the beginning to the end. It’s all very good for strolling, bringing children and grandchildren."

Cristina Reis, a visitor from Capanema, highlighted the regional impact of the work. "It’s really beautiful, it will bring more quality of life. It’s a gift for an entire region, with adequate infrastructure to welcome tourists from all over the state."

New investments
During the event, the Service Order was signed for the construction of three restaurants, three fire department stations, and a new Water Supply Unit, which will serve the urban walkways of Praia do Maçarico.

"With the second walkway, it will be no different from the first: it follows the standard of modern, safe, and comfortable structure, restoring access to the beautiful Praia do Maçarico," said the Secretary of Public Works, Ruy Cabral.

The mayor of Salinópolis, Kaká Sena, praised the project. "The walkways are generating income, attracting and strengthening tourism. I thank Governor Helder Barbalho and Vice Governor Hana Ghassan for every time I sought them and was always attended to regarding the demands of Salinópolis," he concluded.
