Metropolitan Hospital performs over 360,000 services in the first half of 2025
Ananindeua unit reinforces its strategic role in the public network focusing on severe traumas and humanized care

The Metropolitan Emergency Hospital (HMUE), located in Ananindeua, performed over 360,000 services between January and June 2025. The unit, a reference in the treatment of medium and high complexity traumas, is part of the Pará State Government network and is managed by the National Institute for Social and Human Development (INDSH), under the Unified Health System (SUS).
The services include surgeries, outpatient consultations, exams, and other procedures, reaffirming HMUE's commitment to qualified and patient-centered care.

“The Metropolitan model combines humanization with resolutive treatment, with patient-centered care so that each one faces their diagnosis in the best way. Each service represents an impacted life,” highlighted Marcelo Azevedo, executive director of HMUE.
Exclusive technology for severe traumas
Unique in the North and Northeast regions to have a Hyperbaric Medicine Center, HMUE invests in technology that enhances wound healing and adds other clinical benefits.
“The Hyperbaric Medicine Center is an investment that represents a milestone for public health in the State, as it confirms the management's commitment, in partnership with the State Department of Public Health (Sespa), to think about effective care strategies,” stated the director.
High satisfaction rate
In the first six months of the year, the Metropolitan Hospital maintained an average of 97% in user satisfaction, according to a survey conducted by the User Service Department (SAU). The approaches were made by phone, in person at the service sectors, and in the hospitalization units.

Maria Leicy, 60, a resident of Belém, is hospitalized to treat a femur injury and praised the care received. “The fear of the unknown is inevitable, especially in the face of an accident we do not expect. I confess that I came in here very scared. But the competence and care of the entire Metropolitan team won my trust. I can only be grateful!”
