State values the artisanal production of Pará at the National Craft Business Fair
Through Seaster, artisans from Pará receive support to showcase the creativity of local handicrafts at an event held in Olinda until next Sunday (27)
Artisans from Pará present the cultural diversity of the State at one of the largest handicraft events in Latin America: the 25th edition of the National Craft Business Fair (Fenearte), held in Olinda (PE) from July 5 to 27. Pará's participation in the fair is supported by the state government through the Secretary of Social Assistance, Labor, Employment, and Income (Seaster).
The public can see locally produced pieces made with traditional techniques, regional raw materials, and unique cultural expressions that reveal the identity of indigenous, quilombola, riverside, and urban peoples.

Artisan Alexandre Paulemy said that participating in Fenearte has already yielded good results, expanding his customer base. “My experience at Fenearte 2025 was great. I managed to exceed my sales target and made new clients. I participate every year. I always do my best to be present. My available products included flutes, drums, agogôs made from Brazil nuts, among other artisanal instruments,” Alexandre Paulemy reported.

Promotion - With the institutional support of Seaster, hundreds of artisans from Pará participated in the Fair through the Brazilian Handicraft Program (PAB), created in 1991. The initiative values the artisan's work, promoting actions that contribute to their cultural, professional, social, and economic growth, as well as fostering the development and visibility of artisanal production and businesses.
“It was my first time at Fenearte. I make indigenous and regional dolls from Pará, as well as personalized keychains on the spot, with the customer's name, and those were the products I brought to the event. The Fair was a great opportunity to showcase my work to retailers. It exceeded my sales expectations, I made many contacts, and I formed partnerships with two stores,” said artisan Heliane Graicy.
According to Inocencio Gaspariam, head of Seaster, “we reinforce and promote the importance of the participation of artisans from Pará in national events, so that our culture becomes increasingly consolidated outside our State, in addition to providing professionals with new avenues and opportunities. This is also our best showcase, so that people can get to know what we produce here in the best way.”

Artisan's card - To ensure participation in regional and national events, as well as to guarantee professionalization, Seaster issues the artisan's card. Interested parties should go to the Secretary's building at Travessa Padre Eutíquio, No. 1,308, Batista Campos neighborhood, in Belém, from 8 am to 2 pm.
The current administration maintains the commitment to encourage mechanisms that promote strategies to consolidate handicrafts, both within and outside Pará. This economic segment is considered relevant, capable of driving local development and strengthening the regional cultural diffusion throughout Brazil.
