Civil Police arrests third person involved in the murder of a radio host in Abaetetuba
At the residence of the suspect, cash, cell phones, and other media devices were seized, which will be examined
On the morning of this Tuesday (22), the Civil Police of Pará launched the third phase of Operation "Antena da Lei", which investigates the murder of radio host Luís Augusto Carneiro Costa, in Abaetetuba, northeastern Pará. The police action took place through the Homicide Division of Abaetetuba, in partnership with the Abaetetuba Police Station, the Investigation Support Nucleus (NAI) of Abaetetuba, and the Regional Superintendence of Baixo Tocantins.

The arrested individual, who owns an event company, was being investigated for direct involvement in the crime. "After the investigative findings, we requested the temporary arrest of the suspect, as well as search and seizure at addresses linked to him. During the searches at the residence, R$ 34,000 in cash, cell phones, and other media devices were found. All materials were seized and presented to the police authority," said delegate Mhoab Khayan, head of the Regional Superintendence of Baixo Tocantins.
The crime occurred on May 27 of this year against Luís Augusto Carneiro Costa, who worked as a radio host in the city of Abaetetuba. He was presenting a live program when he was shot dead.

"Throughout the 1st and 2nd phases of Operation 'Antena da Lei', two suspects were identified, located, and arrested for their involvement in the criminal act. One of them is identified as the executor of the crime, and the other is responsible for being the owner of the firearm used in the homicide."
Seizures - During the operations, the Civil Police teams also seized the firearm, the motorcycle, and the clothing used by the executor of the crime. All materials were sent for analysis to clarify the entire case. According to investigations, the motivation would be possible competition in event production in the region, as the victim also worked as an event producer.

The arrested suspect was taken to the police station for the necessary procedures. The case continues to be investigated to gather all information about the criminal association responsible for planning and executing the victim.
