With 99.27% approval from patients and companions, the Transamazon Public Regional Hospital (HRPT), in Altamira, closed the first semester of 2025 with one of the best user satisfaction rates among public units in Pará. This data is the result of monthly monitoring conducted by the User Service (SAU), based on opinions collected between January and June of this year.

Service approved by those who need it most

Cases like that of José Alberto Moura, 57, illustrate the perceived quality at the unit. "Here is a blessing, a marvel. The service is good, thank God," reported the patient, who was hospitalized for exams and pre-operative follow-up.

Oziane Costa, diagnosed with cervical cancer, also highlights the good experience. "Every time I come for my consultations, to show my exams and see the doctor, it’s excellent service. I have nothing to complain about." Jacinto da Silva, 67, undergoing prostate treatment, reaffirms: "The service is very good; every time I come, I am always well attended by everyone."

Satisfaction survey is routine at the unit

SAU coordinator Thais Costa Oliveira emphasizes that satisfaction data is collected daily and consolidated monthly. "When we conduct the satisfaction survey and receive feedback that we provide good service, it is very satisfying," she stated.

She also highlights the integrated work of nursing teams, clinical staff, and multidisciplinary teams, combined with the structure and welcoming atmosphere, as differentiators of the unit. The HRPT has a "Excellence Accreditation" seal, reinforcing its position as a reference in humanized care in the region.

Humanization is a priority in care

Assistance nurse Rafaela Carvalho from the Surgical Clinic states that patient care is considered from identification to post-operative follow-up. "These criteria we use, from the wristband to bedside identification, comorbidities, diet, and everything the patient will need, lead to success," she explained.

For farmer José Viana, 61, undergoing treatment for esophageal cancer, the experience at the unit has been positive. "Wonderful impression; it has been very good for me," he said.

Improvement in indices reinforces confidence

In the last three years, the satisfaction index of HRPT has increased by four percentage points, rising from 95.46% in 2023 to 99.46% in 2024. The hospital's administrative director, Fillipe Okada, emphasizes the team's commitment to quality care.

"Achieving this approval result fills us with pride, but it also reinforces our commitment to excellence in health care," he stated. "For the population, it translates into trust and peace of mind. Knowing that the hospital provides humanized, efficient, and resolutive care makes all the difference for those who need the public health system the most."

How to evaluate the service

Users can register opinions directly at the SAU, located near the Outpatient Clinic and main reception, from Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 5 pm. There are also boxes and questionnaires distributed in the hospital corridors. Additionally, contact can be made through the General Ombudsman of SUS, by phone 0800 275 0620 (operating via WhatsApp).

Regional reference with excellent structure

Inaugurated in December 2006, the Transamazon Public Regional Hospital is a reference for nine municipalities in the region and serves an estimated population of over 500,000 people. The unit offers 97 beds distributed among medical, surgical, pediatric, gynecological, and obstetric clinics, as well as adult, pediatric, and neonatal ICUs, and a nursery for high-risk babies.
