For those who want to escape crowds on weekends, the Utinga Camillo Vianna State Park is one of the free options among state public facilities in Belém. The tranquility and connection with nature offered in the space, whether during a walk or physical activity, are highlighted by visitors.

Event producer Everton Figueiredo, who runs in the Park, states that this moment helps recharge his energy. "Maintaining the body and physical health in shape are our main focuses, but coming here before starting work also renews our strength, watching the little monkeys play, breathing cleaner air, with the wonderful scenery. This tranquility is possible, especially on weekdays, with Utinga having fewer people. We love it," he emphasizes.

This Monday (21), public servant Berenice Oliveira, a resident of the municipality of Breves in Marajó, made her first visit to Utinga. "I am touring Belém and always look for bike rides that allow me to contemplate nature, have silence and peace. That’s why I chose a weekday to come to the Park, and I am loving it. It’s very nice that a big city like Belém has a space like this, very accessible and close to the center," she says.

Environmental education - Utinga Park is a State Conservation Unit created with the aim of preserving natural ecosystems of great ecological relevance, stimulating scientific research, and encouraging the development of environmental education activities, including ecological tourism.

Teacher Jaqueline Alcântara also took advantage of this Monday of vacation to take her daughter Cecília, 2 years old, to get to know Utinga. Residents of Tucuruí, in southeastern Pará, both approved the experience. "I chose to come on a weekday because I wanted to enjoy the tranquility of the space. Those with small children know the importance of organizing outdoor outings, to see animals, strengthen that contact with nature, and feel the breeze. This choice was wonderful. Coming during the week made a difference for our experience," Jaqueline shares.

In addition to four kilometers of paths prepared for walking and biking, skating, and skateboarding, the Park has options for trails and tourist spaces. The parking area has 400 spaces for vehicles and a visitor reception center, with an auditorium for 38 people, snack bar, ticket office, and café.

Student Julia Ramos, 15 years old, prefers to stroll in the Park on Mondays, when she enjoys biking, reading a book, and drinking coconut water. "One of the best things I discovered during this vacation was going to Utinga at times when it is less crowded. When there are few people, the atmosphere changes completely. We walk calmly, feel the place better. Even our breathing seems to sync with nature. It’s as if time slows down. We live amidst so much rush and noise that stopping there for a while and just observing the trees, and smelling the forest, is already a way to reconnect both with nature and with ourselves. I highly recommend this green embrace in the middle of the city," she adds.

Service: During the week, Utinga Park opens from 6 AM to 5 PM, except on Tuesdays, when it is closed for maintenance. With free entry, only some services are paid, such as guided trails, sports activities (rappelling and zip-lining), and the parking fee.
