The intense movement recorded towards the coastal municipality requires preventive and ostensive actions on the beaches and access roads

The third weekend of July, the summer season, continues to be busy in the resorts of Pará. In Salinópolis, in northeastern Pará, a destination that attracts tourists from Pará and other states, the integrated work of security forces is carried out under the coordination of the State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup).

Since Friday (18), the PA-124 highway, which connects several municipalities in the northeast, has recorded heavy traffic heading to Salinópolis. At the checkpoint set up by the Highway Police, Military Police, and Traffic Department (Detran), there was a check of drivers and vehicles, as well as educational actions.

Agents of the Security System also carry out educational actions

Part of the coordination made by Segup, Colonel Helderley Oliveira highlighted that integrated inspections are intensified on weekends to check for the use of cutting lines, glass bottles, and automotive sounds in violation of court orders.

"The oversight work with integrated actions from the agencies that are part of Operation Summer here in Salinas has been doubled. We are observing that the flow of people intensifies more and more starting from Friday. Detran has already informed that, on the roads, the movement of bathers is intensifying, and because of that, the continuation of integrated operations is necessary," reinforced the colonel.

The mobilization of the Integrated Public Security System aims, when necessary, to respond quickly and effectively to occurrences. "The support from the agencies is fundamental to ensure that people can have fun peacefully, because we will have conditions here to provide full support, so that they can enjoy the beach calmly," informed Helderley Oliveira.

Alignment - Every day, in the morning and afternoon, at the Integrated Command and Control Center, installed by Segup at the Sofia shortcut, with the presence of representatives from each agency, all situations from the previous day are shared, and adjustments are made to enhance the objectivity of the operation. At the end, a convoy proceeds to patrol the beaches of Atalaia and Farol Velho, in order to check for adverse situations.

During the patrol, the State Civil Defense Coordination of the Military Fire Brigade (Cedec) distributed identification bracelets for children, helping to reduce cases of missing children, given the increase in the number of picnics in the area.

The initiative was supported by merchant Leonardo Kelvin, who had his son and godson identified. "Very good for us, who have to stay very attentive with the children. We start to have coordinates, and we gain a bit more knowledge over the weekend due to the prevention of children near the sea. This is very good," he said.
