Six people are arrested in Pará, Rio de Janeiro, and Santa Catarina in a Civil Police operation
The arrested individuals are being investigated for criminal association in the cities of Belém, Anajás, and Santa Izabel in Pará, in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, and Florianópolis
Three men and three women were arrested this Friday (18), during the investigative work carried out by agents of the Delegacia de Repressão às Facções Criminosas (DRFC), a unit of the Divisão de Repressão ao Crime Organizado (DRCO). The arrests were motivated by coordination with the Civil Police of the states of Rio de Janeiro (PCRJ) and Santa Catarina (PCSC) and other units of the PC of Pará.

Six preventive arrest warrants and three search and seizure warrants were executed, issued by the Vara de Combate ao Crime Organizado de Belém (PA). During the operation, one of the women was caught in the act for attempting against the integrity of the police officers at the time of the approach. The arrested individuals are being investigated for criminal association in Belém, Anajás (in Marajó), and Santa Izabel do Pará, in the Pará territory, in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, and in Florianópolis, the capital of Santa Catarina.

“The investigations were initiated by the DRFC/PCPA, at which point it was identified that the individuals hold significant positions in a criminal faction in the Bengui neighborhood, in the capital of Pará. One acting as 'discipline' and another as 'supplier end'. During the arrest of the man who was hiding in the Fogueteiro community, located in the city of Rio de Janeiro, three armored vehicles were used. There was resistance from the target, who exchanged gunfire with the police teams,” reported the head of the DRCO, delegate Juliano Corrêa.

All targets of the police operation are considered highly dangerous and are already responding to other offenses, such as robbery, drug trafficking, receiving stolen goods, and illegal possession of firearms. The criminal group is also responsible for extortion against merchants in Pará. The operation reinforces the commitment of the units involved in combating criminal factions.
All the arrested individuals have undergone the necessary procedures and are now at the disposal of the Judiciary.
