Digital Tax Accounting is the theme of a lecture by the Department of Finance for accountants
The event brought together about 200 accounting professionals from the southern state region

The Department of Finance (Sefa) held a virtual meeting on Wednesday (16) with accounting professionals to present solutions for the most frequent questions about Digital Tax Accounting (EFD).
The meeting was attended by more than 200 accountants from southern Pará, in partnership with the Regional Accounting Council (CRC). The Undersecretary of Tax Administration, Eli Sòsinho, opened the meeting, highlighting the importance of integration between the state tax authority and accountants and the opportunity to provide training to taxpayers.
“The meeting arose from demands presented by accountants to Sefa in meetings held in Pará municipalities. We mobilized the technical team of the Department to discuss the subject, and we will hold other meetings to address the requests for clarification,” pointed out the Secretary of Finance of Pará, René Sousa Júnior.
The president of the CRC, Ailton Ramos, participated in the virtual meeting and considered it an excellent opportunity for clarifications with professionals from Pará's accounting sector. The Directorate of Revenue Collection and Tax Information (Daif) organized the event through the Cell for Analysis and Control of Accessory Obligations. The lecture was coordinated by the state revenue tax auditor, Hedylamar Beckman.
Issues discussed included the information that must be provided in the Digital Tax Accounting; the procedure for rectifying the EFD; and the penalty for failing to submit the EFD digital file.
In Pará, according to Normative Instruction SEFA No. 15/2023, all ICMS taxpayers are required to submit Digital Tax Accounting (EFD), except for those opting for the Simples Nacional – that is, microenterprises and small businesses that have adhered to the simplified tax regime; rural producers and extractors of vegetable and animal products, according to Article 541 of the ICMS Regulation (Decree No. 4,676/2001); and establishments with state registration in Pará that do not engage in ICMS-generating activities.
