Forensic Police registers over 2,000 expert examinations in the first half of the 'Operation Summer 2025'
Examinations of bodily injury and drug abuse, which detect the presence of psychoactive substances in the body, are the highest demands so far
In this month of July, the Forensic Police of Pará (PCEPA) has been working in an integrated manner with all public security agencies, for the greater safety of summer visitors this month of July. The actions are part of the "Operation Summer 2025", launched by the State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup), in the main tourist spots of Pará.
In the first half of the month, 2,052 expert examinations were carried out, totaling examinations in the Metropolitan Region of Belém and in the Regional Coordinators and Advanced Nuclei. Of this total, 1,373 were forensic medicine and 679 were criminalistics, with highlights including 1,053 examinations of bodily injury, 260 drug abuse examinations, 203 autopsies, 171 vehicle examinations, 67 crime scene examinations, and 31 ballistic examinations.
In addition, 24 expert examinations were conducted at the highlighted posts in Salinópolis, Mosqueiro, Salvaterra, Cametá, Marudá, and Conceição do Araguaia, where technical reports were produced for the immediate action of the Civil Police (PCPA) in combating crime in these locations. Of this total, 10 correspond to requests directed to the Institute of Legal Medicine and Dentistry (IMOL), with 6 related to cases of bodily injury and 4 autopsy examinations. The remaining examinations were requests directed to the Institute of Criminalistics, such as Crime Scene and Vehicle Examination.
Among the municipalities, the Forensic Police responded to police requests in Salinópolis (10 examinations), Mosqueiro (9), Cametá (3), and Conceição do Araguaia (2).
