On the third weekend of Operation Summer, security teams remain steadfast in providing guidance and monitoring in the municipality of Salinópolis, northeastern Pará. The operation is coordinated by the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup) and integrated with other public security agencies in the state.

During the early morning of this Saturday, the 12th, security agents conducted rounds on Atalaia beach to enforce the court action that allows automotive sounds until 6 a.m. on the sand strip, and also prohibits the use of glass bottles.

“Our agents are constantly working to monitor and guide tourists and beachgoers at Atalaia beach to ensure compliance with the court order regarding noise and environmental pollution. We have noticed that everyone is adhering to the measures, which has resulted in a peaceful summer for those who sought Salinas this July,” said the Secretary of Public Security, Ualame Machado.

Security agents are monitoring video feeds from security cameras within the Integrated Command and Control Center of Salinas (CICC), tracking the movement of bathers and recording urgent and emergency occurrences.

The director of the Integrated Operations Center (CIOp), Lieutenant Colonel Felipe Aires, emphasizes the work of the teams and highlights the low level of occurrences recorded during this summer.

“We are operating at the CICC in Salinas and at our Niop 24 hours a day, and so far we have not recorded any serious occurrences, even regarding noise pollution we have noticed a decrease in calls during this summer, so far,” said Lieutenant Colonel Felipe Aires.

“We are always here in Salinas gathered as a family and we notice that the police presence is quite strong. Knowing that we have a public security base here to assist in any situation also gives us a lot of security to enjoy the summer peacefully,” she said.

The actions of Operation Summer will continue until August 4, reinforcing security in more than 50 locations in Pará.
