Operation Summer 2025 maintains patrols and inspections in the Mosqueiro district
The Security System also intensifies the alert about sexual harassment and channels to report these occurrences
The public security forces continue the actions of the "Operation Summer 2025" in more than 50 locations in Pará. Those who remain in the Metropolitan Region of Belém this weekend and seek fun on Mosqueiro Island (a district of the capital) can count on intensified patrols and police inspections on the island.
To monitor the movement and concentrate security forces for action definition, the State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup) installed the Mobile Integrated Command and Control Center (CICC) at the intersection of Avenida 16 de Novembro and Avenida Beira-Mar, for real-time monitoring of security cameras spread throughout the district, allowing quick responses to occurrences and the registration of reports in cases of lesser severity.

Acting preventively, this weekend Segup has been working with teams from the Directorate of Public Security Policies and Social Prevention (DPS) to disseminate materials from the campaign "Don't Stay Silent," aimed at combating sexual harassment. According to the head of Segup, Ualame Machado, this work significantly contributes to raising awareness among people and creating a safer environment during the summer.
Information - "During the school holidays, Segup has intensified awareness campaigns aimed at preventing these crimes and protecting our children and adolescents. We want to educate the population about what constitutes sexual harassment, inform victims about their rights and how to report, and promote a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. We count on everyone's support to build a safe and respectful summer for our families," said the secretary.
Informative materials have already been distributed in restaurants, bars, stalls, and especially to bathers on the beaches of Chapéu Virado and Farol. The Civil Police also joined the action by disseminating materials from the Virtual Police Station, including reporting channels, such as 190 for emergency calls and 180 from the Women's Central. The WhatsApp number (91) 98115-9181 is also available for the Reporting Hotline, with the virtual attendant Iara.

Considered one of the largest security operations carried out by the state government, Operation Summer 2025 mobilizes more than 9,200 agents in ostensive and preventive actions, with reinforcement in local policing. The actions began on June 28 and will continue until August 4.
The initiative mobilizes Segup servers, Military, Civil, and Scientific police, Military Fire Brigade, Detran (Department of Transit), Seap (State Secretariat for Penitentiary Administration), and other state agencies, such as Artran (Agency for Regulation and Control of Public Transport Services), Adepará (Agency for Agricultural Defense), and Ideflor-Bio (Institute for Forest Development and Biodiversity). Agents from Municipal Guards and federal institutions, such as the Port Authority, also participate.
