Criminal experts from the Forensic Police of Pará participated in the seventh edition of the Crisis Management Course for Security in Cities, held from July 7 to 11. Public security agents were trained for high-complexity cases, preventive measures, and immediate responses. The course was promoted by the Integrated Operations and Intelligence (Diopi) and Teaching and Research (DEP) directorates of the National Secretariat of Public Security (Senasp), of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP), in partnership with the Public Security Secretariat of Pará (Segup).

During the training, subjects such as: city control; evolution of violent crimes against property; crime scene preservation; case studies; risk analysis; human rights; and applied legislation were taught. Exercises simulating attacks on armored cars and institutions that guard valuables were also conducted.

Participation in the course represented a strategic opportunity to strengthen the integration between the security forces of the state of Pará. The course concluded with a simulated exercise, where the forensic team acted in the collection and analysis of evidence, demonstrating, in practice, the decisive role of the Forensic Police in criminal investigation and accountability.

“For the Forensic Police, the experience was particularly valuable, not only for technical improvement but also for the possibility of acting in an integrated manner with other agencies from the planning stage. During the training, we were able to understand and apply the doctrine aimed at coordinated responses to complex scenarios, such as city control attacks,” said criminal expert and manager of the Intelligence sector of PCEPA, Mario Guzzo Jr.

Furthermore, the initiative contributed to the dissemination of knowledge about the importance of preserving evidence among agents of other forces. “This aspect is crucial, as the proper isolation of the crime scene is decisive for the success of investigations. Reinforcing this awareness in the context of integrated actions strengthens not only the immediate response to crises but also the effectiveness of long-term criminal prosecution,” added the expert.
