Civil Police of Pará seizes 152 kilograms of skunk hidden in air fryers
The seizure occurred at the port of Belém during an inspection of a cargo from Manaus (AM). The drug was hidden in a truck being transported on a vessel.

Teams from the State Narcotics Division (Denarc) and the Police Intelligence Unit (NIP) of the Civil Police of Pará seized approximately 152 kilograms of skunk marijuana hidden inside electric fryers (air fryers) on Wednesday (9).
The operation was supported by information provided by the Narcotics Investigation Department (Denarc) of the Civil Police of Amazonas.
The seizure occurred at the port of Belém during an inspection of a cargo from Manaus (AM). The drug was hidden in a box truck that was being transported on a vessel.
Inside the vehicle, the police found 38 electric fryers, each containing four blocks of the drug, weighing approximately one kilogram each, totaling 152 blocks. The destination of the illegal cargo was the city of Natal in Rio Grande do Norte.
The investigations that led to the seizure began after the flagrant arrest of two men on July 4 in Manaus. At that time, the Denarc of Amazonas seized over 600 kilograms of the same substance, also hidden in air fryers.
From this, a new shipment to the State of Pará was identified. With intelligence work, it was possible to monitor the transport of the drug and carry out the seizure.

According to delegate Davi Cordeiro, director of Denarc of PCPA, the action is part of the joint efforts to combat interstate drug trafficking, based on the sharing of information between police forces from both states.
“This seizure is the result of intelligence work and integration between the Civil Police of Pará and Amazonas, which has been fundamental in combating interstate drug trafficking. The use of household items to hide large quantities of drugs shows the sophistication of criminal organizations, but also reinforces the importance of our teams' strategic actions to prevent these substances from reaching their final destination,” emphasizes the delegate.
The investigations continue with the aim of dismantling the criminal group, identifying other involved parties, and preventing new shipments to the state and other regions of the country. The seized material has been sent for forensic examination.
