The management of the General Hospital of Tailândia (HGT) began, on Wednesday (9), the celebration of 12 years of operation of the unit, with a 95% satisfaction rate for the services provided to its users. The celebration highlights the commitment to the health and well-being of those who depend on the assistance offered by the Unified Health System (SUS).

The extensive program in honor of the date will extend until the end of this month. The main tribute was held on Tuesday (8), in front of the Emergency Care Unit (PA). The event was attended by staff, users, families, and the unit's management team. Additionally, there was a health education campaign for the users present at the time.

"Celebrating the 12 years of the General Hospital of Tailândia with 95% user approval is an achievement that reinforces our commitment to quality public health. This result is the fruit of serious work, with continuous investments in infrastructure and teams committed to humanized care. The Government of Pará will continue to strengthen this partnership, expanding services and ensuring access to health for those who need it most," highlighted the State Secretary of Health, Ivete Vaz.

Care - In recent years, with an average of 24,000 monthly visits and a user satisfaction average of 95%, the hospital unit has stood out as a reference in medical care across various specialties. The HGT, which has 51 beds, offers services such as outpatient consultations, exams, hospitalizations, and other specialties, including internal medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, gynecology/obstetrics, orthopedics/traumatology, radiology, anesthesiology, and cardiology.

As a reference in obstetric care in the Tocantins Integration Region, in northeastern Pará, the hospital unit performs normal and cesarean deliveries daily. In twelve years, it has conducted over 17,000 deliveries, with more than 708 just between January and June 2025, standing out as an institution of excellence in maternal and child care.

Approval - User Isídio Moura, 52 years old, who was waiting for care at the HGT's PA, participated in the activities held in commemoration of the unit's 12th anniversary. During the moment, the patient congratulated the hospital and praised the care received throughout his hospitalizations.

“I have always been well taken care of here. The team is attentive, treats us very well, and also explains everything properly. I have needed to be hospitalized before and have always been cared for with affection. I want to congratulate everyone for the work they do every day and thank them for the care I receive here. And may there be even more celebrations,” said Isídio.

According to the executive director of HGT, Eduardo Pereira, the hospital currently has a total of 327 professionals. Together, these professionals have played a crucial role in providing health services, recording over 147,000 visits from January to June of this year and more than 326,000 throughout 2024.

"We are very happy to celebrate another year of services provided to the community. We would like to thank all users for trusting our work and for choosing HGT to take care of their health. Our thanks also go to the State Government, which has been a fundamental partner in our operations and continuous improvements. We are committed to maintaining and raising the quality of our care, always aiming to provide the best possible service for everyone who seeks us," said the manager of the hospital unit.

To further improve the assistance provided, the State Government has been constantly investing in HGT. In December 2024, Governor Helder Barbalho inaugurated the new Hemodialysis Center of the municipality, a modern and equipped space. Since then, the service has already performed about 2,710 sessions and currently serves 45 active patients. The team consists of 31 professionals, including nephrologists, nurses, nursing technicians, psychologists, nutritionists, social workers, and support staff. At the same time, various renovations are also being carried out to further improve the hospital's structure.

Quality of life - Patient Raimunda Marli, 64 years old, shared her experience after starting treatment at the unit. “Now, receiving treatment in my own city is a blessing. I feel well cared for and welcomed by all the professionals who work here,” she reported emotionally.

The program will continue with the offering of services to staff, users, and their companions, with lectures, distribution of educational materials on various health themes highlighting the importance of disease prevention, as well as traffic safety, aiming to reduce accidents and deaths in the region.

The HGT has 51 beds and maintains an Intermediate Care Unit (UCI) with nine beds, six for adults and three for pediatrics. Users who depend on the Unified Health System (SUS) have access to the services offered by HGT through the Municipal Regulation Center, and to emergency services on a free demand basis or referred by Samu, Military Fire Brigade, and Highway Police.
