Holiday Colonies of the Usinas da Paz bring together educational activities and workshops for children
The program on the first day was marked by laughter, cooperation, and a lot of positive energy

The programming of the Holiday Colonies of the Usinas da Paz began this Monday (07), an initiative that mobilizes the project's units in Belém, in the Metropolitan Region and in the interior of the State, with a schedule full of sports, educational, and cultural activities aimed at children and teenagers during the school break.
On the first day of activities, the children participated in group games, team dynamics, swimming, computer classes, and cooking lessons. The atmosphere was marked by laughter, cooperation, and a lot of positive energy.

For many parents, the colony represents an opportunity for their children to learn values such as respect, teamwork, and discipline, in addition to staying active and connected with the community.
“It’s a way to keep the children occupied with something good during the holidays. Here, they play, learn, and make new friends, and they don’t stay idle at home. The community benefits a lot,” said freelancer Angela Farias, mother of Pedro Moraes, a participant in the Holiday Colony of UsiPaz Jurunas/Condor.

Meanwhile, father Ivan Sérgio, who took his son Pedro Sérgio, 8 years old, to the Usina da Paz Jurunas/Condor, highlighted the importance of the initiative. “It’s a program that teaches and entertains at the same time. I recommend it to all parents. Those who haven’t brought their children yet, take advantage of this opportunity. It’s worth it, we are enjoying it a lot,” he said.
In addition to Belém, the holiday colony activities of the Usinas da Paz engaged children and youth in the complexes of the municipalities of Ananindeua, Marituba, Castanhal, Capanema, Benevides, Abaetetuba, Marabá, Parauapebas, and Canaã dos Carajás.

Service - The program continues until next Friday (11) in all 14 Usinas da Paz already in operation, offering workshops, sports championships, and scavenger hunts. The activities are promoted by the State Secretariat for Citizenship Articulation (Seac).
According to Elieth Braga, head of Seac, the colonies represent an important tool for inclusion and strengthening social ties. “The holiday colonies at the Usinas da Paz are more than just leisure moments. They are opportunities to strengthen bonds, develop skills, and ensure that our children and teenagers enjoy the school break safely, with learning and joy. This is a commitment from the State Government to citizenship and the future of our youth,” she emphasized.
