In Salinas, the inspection actions to combat noise pollution on the beaches began this Friday, the 4th, in compliance with a judicial decision that prohibits the presence of automotive sounds and "trailers" in the municipality. The integrated security teams are coordinated by the State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup), through the activities developed by the "Operation Summer 2025".

The objective of the judicial decision, issued at the request of the State Public Ministry, is to ensure a harmonious coexistence between summer visitors, residents, and automotive sound groups, providing leisure with environmental responsibility, collective safety, and respect for current legislation.

According to the Secretary of Public Security, Ualame Machado, the decision prohibits the entry of vehicles with automotive sounds outside the established standard, as well as trailers and sound towers, aiming for the well-being of all in compliance with environmental laws.

"Our teams will be acting in an integrated manner, with barriers at the entrances to the beaches, and also 1km before, on the access road to Atalaia and Farol Velho with blockades from the State Traffic Department and the Military Police, all to ensure compliance with the judicial order that prevents the presence of irregular automotive sounds on the beaches, aiming for public order and environmental preservation," said the head of Segup.

Inspection and measures - Throughout the Summer Operation period, integrated teams from the security forces carry out constant patrolling on the sand strip to inspect compliance with the rules, as well as with blockades at the entrances to the beaches and city streets.

The initiative aims to ensure a safer summer period with peaceful fun, respecting public order and the environment.

According to the judicial decision, the entry and stay of sound towers, "trailers", sound cars, and high-power equipment are prohibited on the beaches of Atalaia, Farol Velho, and Ponta da Sofia, as well as in the 1,000-meter strip preceding the respective accesses, throughout the month of July.

Entry of any vehicle on the right side of the shortcut to Sofia, at Ponta da Sofia, is also prohibited, except for public interest services, in addition to the total suspension of musical events in this same area, with those who violate the judicial determinations subject to a daily fine of R$ 5,000.00. The measures aim for social order, as well as the harmful practices of noise pollution, solid waste, disturbance of fauna, and environmental crimes.

The coordinator of the Integrated Control and Command Center of Salinas, Col. Celton Moraes, highlights the actions taken by the forces. "All agencies will be part of this action. The Military Police, the Detran, and the Civil Police are the agencies that will act more decisively. We will be conducting inspections especially during low tide, all very well planned so that we can ensure compliance with this judicial action," he concluded.
