Focusing on environmental awareness and joint work between public agencies and partner institutions, the Eastern Marajó Regional Office of Ideflor-Bio, in Soure, held a coordination meeting to define the educational program for Summer Operation 2025, coordinated by the Government of Pará.

The meeting included representatives from Adepará, Civil Police, Military Police, ICMBio, Fire Department, UFPA, and the Soure City Hall, through the Secretariats of Environment, Health, and Tourism.

According to the mayor of Soure, Paulo Victor Lima, the action represents an important articulation in favor of the communities.

“The Summer Operation is an example of how the union between different institutions can generate positive results. It promotes environmental education, strengthens dialogue with the population, and contributes to a safer summer that respects our culture and biodiversity,” he emphasized.

Communities and schedule - The program includes discussion circles in the communities of Céu, Pesqueiro, and Caju-Una, on July 16, 23, and 30, always at 4 PM. At each meeting, three institutions will make joint presentations on topics related to environmental education, safety, public health, and responsible tourism. The actions are open to the public and will include informative materials and interactive dynamics.

The communities were chosen based on tourist flow and the need to strengthen the State's presence in areas of high visitation during the summer.

Networking - For the regional manager of Ideflor-Bio in Eastern Marajó, Osiane Barbosa, the operation is an opportunity to expand the reach of educational and environmental protection actions.

“Our goal is to provide quality information to communities and visitors, promoting care for the environment, risk prevention, and strengthening citizenship. The Summer Operation allows for this collective and integrated construction,” she stated.

The actions are part of the Summer Operation 2025, an annual program that reinforces security, public services, and oversight in tourist areas of Pará during the school vacation period.

“With this initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to sustainable development and the appreciation of traditional communities, promoting a more conscious and respectful season towards the natural and cultural heritage of the Marajó archipelago,” concluded Osiane Barbosa.
