Cultural Foundation of Pará registers for courses and workshops in Viseu
The free program aims to expand access to culture, education, and professional qualification in northeastern Pará
The Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP) brings the program "FCP Throughout Pará" to Viseu from July 1st to 5th (Tuesday to Saturday), with a free program of courses, workshops, and lectures. Registrations are already open and can be made until the day of the event through an electronic form available at https://linktr.ee/fcpportodoopara.
"The 'FCP Throughout Pará' was born with the aim of expanding access to culture, education, and professional qualification in various regions of the State. In this edition, it includes the municipality of Viseu with activities focused on literature, music, digital production, and creative economy," informs the president of the Cultural Foundation of Pará, Thiago Miranda.

Among the highlights of the program is the Handmade Bookmaking Workshop, which proposes a creative dive into the universe of writing and the construction of book-objects. The activity combines theory and practice, promoting unconventional forms of literary and visual creation. Using simple techniques of manual binding and material reuse, the workshop targets students, artists, writers, independent publishers, and people interested in manual work and artistic processes.
Another highlight is the Mini-Course on Creative Economy, aimed at artists, producers, and workers in the cultural production chain. The proposal is to provide tools for these professionals to develop their activities in the areas of income generation, strengthening collaborative networks, and valuing local cultural territories.
Music - On July 3rd, from 3 PM to 6 PM, the program includes the lecture "The Structure of the Choro Genre," taught by instructor Diego Leite Santos, at the Viseu Music School. Aimed at professional musicians, amateurs, and students, the activity will address structural aspects of Choro as a musical genre, discussing the interactions between solo instruments, harmony, and percussion.
The content covers everything from types of instruments and harmonic combinations to arrangements, repertoire formation, and references from great masters of Choro. The lecture also highlights the role of the Choro Project of Pará, offering a current overview of the genre in the State. 40 spots are available for the activity.
The program also offers the Digital Content Production Workshop with Mobile Devices. With the advancement of social media and digital communication, the workshop aims to train participants in the use of smartphones and tablets for creating audiovisual content, emphasizing accessible techniques, basic editing, scripting, and engagement strategies.
The program will also feature the chat "Amazonian Literature Produced in Pará – A conversation about the grant for the cession of works by Pará authors," from 3 PM to 6 PM, at the Álvaro Adolfo School, located on Travessa Coronel Antônio Pedro, in the urban area. Mediated by the Cultural Foundation of Pará's staff member and master's degree holder in Literature, Denise Franco, the activity proposes an open discussion about literary production in the State, highlighting the grant aimed at encouraging, valuing, and disseminating works by Pará authors.
The event is aimed at teachers, writers, students, and the general public, and intends to foster interest in regional literature, promoting the exchange of experiences and reflections on the importance of Amazonian representativity in the literary field.
