The second day of operation of the City Park, this Saturday (28), featured a performance by gospel singer Cláudio Jr. from the Quadrangular Gospel Church. The show, held at the amphitheater of the space, moved the audience with religious songs interpreted in various rhythms such as carimbó, calypso, brega, forró, and traditional evangelical church music.

Denise Albuquerque, retiree

Retiree Denise Albuquerque, 68 years old, shared her testimony after the performance. “I am a miracle — I overcame cancer and COVID. I went through a lot of suffering, but God sustained me. I am sure He sent an army of angels to guard me,” she declared emotionally.

Teacher Patrícia Cardoso, 45 years old, also praised the new leisure space and the diversity of the programming. “The park is wonderful, it exceeded my expectations. It’s great to see entire families having fun. And it was beautiful to see a gospel show here. I already follow Cláudio Jr. at the Pedreira church, I really like his songs,” she said.

Cláudio Jr

With over 30 years of career, Cláudio Jr. celebrated his participation in the event. “I started in the church, recorded CDs, participated in bands, and today I lead worship. I am very happy to be part of the opening of this space. Congratulations to the state government. May God continue to bless,” he stated.

Programming continues until the end of July

The City Park, which hosts Brazil's 1st Public Summer Camp, continues with sports and cultural programming until July 31. The activities are coordinated by the State Department of Culture (Secult) and the Department of Sports and Leisure (Seel).

During the afternoon, the Vice Governor of Pará, Hana Ghassan, and the Secretary of Culture, Ursula Vidal, visited the space and attended the activities. Hana even participated in a rhythm class alongside the audience.

On Sunday (29), the cultural programming continues from 5 PM, with a presentation by the Cultural Point Heranças do Velho Chico.
