‘Junino Paradise’ is the champion of the XXI State Junina Quadrilhas Contest

The “Junina Explosion of Soure” took home the championship title in the mirim category. Tomorrow (29), the top three from each category will perform again starting at 6 PM.

The quadrilha “Junino Paradise” from Belém took first place in the 21st State Quadrilhas Contest in the adult category. With the theme “The Enchanted World of Disney at São João”, the “Junina Explosion of Soure” won the title in the mirim category. This Sunday (29), the top three from each category will perform again at the headquarters of the Cultural Foundation of Pará, starting at 6 PM.

"This is our first year as Grand Champions at Centur, we followed all the rules correctly, we never imagined we would be the first in the State, it is an immense, immense happiness. It was a very hard work of eight months, strong and firm, and we will be here on Sunday, performing and receiving the award,” assures Alexandre Piedade, technical director of Junino Paradise.

Quadrilha Junino Paradise from Belém is the champion of the XXI State Quadrilhas Contest

The State Junina Quadrilhas Contest is promoted by the State Government, through the Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP). The results of the competition were announced this Saturday (28), after the tallying of scores assigned by judges who evaluated the groups according to the criteria: ensemble, choreography, costume, evolution, marking, timing, and concentration.

The announcement of the results took place at the Líbero Luxardo cinema with the presence of representatives from the quadrilhas that participated in the contest. It was also possible to follow the tallying through a virtual platform made available only to the organizers who could be present.

AWARDS - The total prize money for the contest amounts to approximately 570 thousand reais. Cash prizes are distributed among the junina quadrilhas, misses, markers, stylists, and choreographers in the adult and mirim categories that achieve the highest scores, as described in Notice 006/2025.

Trophies will be awarded to the junina quadrilhas that achieve the top twenty positions in the adult category and the top ten positions in the mirim category. The best markers, stylists, and choreographers in the adult and children's categories will also receive trophies.

The top three in the categories: Miss Caipira, Miss Morena Cheirosa, and Miss Sympathy for both adults and children will receive sashes. The top three in the Miss Caipira da Diversidade category will also receive awards.

Recognition - "We are filled with joy because we know that our work and the work of the cultural makers of our State is being recognized. The applause we received at the end of the tallying, after a very dedicated effort from our team, demonstrates this and should also be directed to the great project that our president, Thiago Miranda, brought to this year's Arraial,” concludes Claudinha Pinheiro, Director of Cultural Interactions at FCP.

Contests must be made through an appeal sent via email [email protected], within 48 hours after the publication of this result. Appeals will be responded to within the same period.

Arraial programming continues today and tomorrow

The programming of the Arraial of All Saints, at the headquarters of FCP, continues until June 29 (Sunday), featuring music, dance, theater, sales of typical foods, and crafts.

This Saturday, at the Dona Graça arena, there will be performances from 18 state schools that are part of the Regional Education Directorate (DRE)- 05 Belém. The programming is in partnership with the State Department of Education.

In addition to them, there will be a presentation of the project “Studio Corpo em Movimento” and the quadrilha Aroma de Patchouli.

On the Verequete stage, the carimbó groups “Os Quentes da Madrugada” and “Mundiando”, the toada group “Paykices”, and the ParáFolclórico “Mistura Regional” will perform.

At the Margarida Schivasappa theater, the Japiim Bird and the Blue Butterfly Cord will take the stage.

On Sunday, the last day of the Arraial of All Saints 2025, there will be a show by the band Quero Mais. The programming is free and starts at 6 PM.
