“We are in the week of the city's anniversary, and the State Government could not miss being present to carry out these deliveries and provide solutions to the problems that most affect the population. The Detran headquarters in Santarém needed interventions, and with this delivery, we are ensuring primarily a suitable environment for users and employees and more than that, a facility where all the agency's services will be happening here with all modernity, including traffic education for children to interact with schools,” said the governor.

CNH Pai D'égua - The largest social program for the free issuance of the National Driver's License in the country, CNH Pai D'égua, has started issuing the document in Santarém. During the Government of Pará's agenda in the city, 500 CNHs were delivered to beneficiaries from Santarém, Mojuí dos Campos, and Belterra. “There are more than 500 licenses, and we still have more processes underway, so by September, many more free CNHs will be delivered to the population,” anticipated director Renata Coelho.

Targeted at low-income individuals, CNH Pai D'égua was created by the State Government, under the coordination of Detran, to ensure the improvement of beneficiaries' income. In 2024, 60,000 spots were secured in all 144 municipalities, making Pará the Brazilian state with the highest number of people served with free CNH.

The delivery of the document occurs upon the completion of processes by the candidates. This year, several municipalities have already received the licenses, enabling drivers to obtain their first license, renew, or add a category.
