Four 0km water trucks worth R$ 2,806,468.90 were seized on Thursday (26) by state revenue inspectors from the Pará State Treasury Department (Sefa), assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Araguaia, located at km 15 of the PA-447 highway, in Conceição do Araguaia, southeast region of the State.

“Firstly, they did not present the fiscal documents of the vehicles. Some time later, the acquisition invoices made in São Bernardo do Campo-SP were sent, destined for the company located in Belo Horizonte-MG,” informed the coordinator, Renato Couto.

The inspection requested a service provision contract or some document of remission to the State of Pará and a contract was sent without the signatures of the parties involved, which was resent, again, with signatures made after the start of the fiscal action.

The fiscal document was considered invalid and four Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were drawn up totaling R$ 959,479.36, regarding ICMS and fines.

Açaí - On the same day, state revenue inspectors assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Gurupi seized 30 tons of açaí, worth R$ 165,600.00. The unit is located in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, northeast of Pará, on the border with Maranhão.

“The vehicle with a cold chamber presented an invoice for 750 bags of açaí corresponding to 30 tons, originating from Santa Bárbara do Pará and destined for Parnamirim-RN. The invoice stated the product açaí with 9% solids,” reported the coordinator Gustavo Bozola.

“The inspection physically verified the load and found several bags of açaí with 12% solids, in divergence with the invoice, as the lower percentage results in a lower ICMS value to be collected,” explained the revenue inspector.

In the product registration certificate from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa), the government agency responsible for the regulation and inspection of agricultural products, it was stated as a product of 9%.

The invoice was disregarded and the Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was issued in the amount of R$ 35,769.60. The merchandise was directed to the State Agency for Agricultural Defense of Pará (Adepará).
