Corpus Christi Operation begins with actions to monitor and combat noise pollution in Salinas
The integrated operation includes preventive and ostensive actions until Monday (23), focusing on traffic management, monitoring, and safety on the beaches

With an increased security scheme for the extended Corpus Christi holiday, Salinópolis has more than 180 agents working in the "Corpus Christi" Operation, coordinated by the Pará State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup). The action involves agencies from the State Security System and continues until next Monday (23), with preventive and ostensive activities to ensure the tranquility of residents and tourists in one of the state's most sought-after destinations.
The acting Secretary of Public Security, Colonel PM Sérgio Neves, highlighted the integrated planning of the operation. "We have reinforced policing in Salinas to serve the public that usually fills the city during extended holidays. We have teams at the Civil Police unit, at the Military Police Battalion, and also the Detran alongside the Highway Police Battalion conducting traffic monitoring and guidance for drivers. The Fire Department teams are also present on the beaches and roads. Everything is coordinated so that everyone can enjoy the holiday safely," said the secretary.
Visiting Salinas after two years, university professor Lorena Carneiro, originally from Marabá, praised the increased police presence on Atalaia beach. "It had been two years since we last came to Salinas, and I found the city very safe, even with police presence on the beach. This makes us feel more at ease. I am with my family, and we feel safe enjoying this beautiful beach," she said.

Monitoring and operations
At the entrance of the municipality, teams from the State Traffic Department (Detran) and the Highway Police Battalion (BPRV) conduct vehicle and documentation checks. On the morning of this Thursday (19), the movement at the city entrance was considered calm.
Additionally, specific operations, such as the Dry Law, are conducted daily in an integrated manner between the Civil and Military Police and the Detran, focusing on the prevention and repression of traffic crimes, especially combating driving under the influence of alcohol.
During the night, the Zero Tolerance operation monitors commercial establishments, focusing on the regularization of licenses and also on combating environmental crimes and disturbances of public order.

Traffic organization on the beach
Another highlight of the operation is the marking of the sand strip on Atalaia beach, which ensures the organization of vehicle and pedestrian traffic along three kilometers. This measure aims to prevent accidents on one of the busiest beaches in Pará.

Operation throughout the state
The Corpus Christi Operation 2025 takes place in 33 locations in Pará, with more than a thousand agents mobilized. In addition to Salinas, actions occur on beaches, resorts, and areas near churches and places of religious celebrations. The work is supported by the Civil, Military, and Scientific Police, Fire Department, Detran, Air Group (Graesp), Municipal Guard of Belém, and municipal security agencies.
The actions began on Wednesday (18) and continue until Monday (23), focusing on ensuring a safe holiday for all residents of Pará.
