Pará presents economic potential to the delegation of Arab ambassadors
CODEC's participation reinforces the strategic role of the State in promoting international partnerships and attracting sustainable investments

The Economic Development Company of Pará (CODEC) actively participated, this Tuesday (17), in the seminar promoted by the FIEPA System, in partnership with the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (CCAB), as part of the official program of the visit of the delegation of ambassadors from Arab countries to Pará. Held in the event hall of FIEPA, in Belém, the meeting was presided over by Daniel Freire, executive vice president of FIEPA and president of Sindicarne, and brought together diplomatic authorities, as well as representatives from public and private institutions, to strengthen economic, commercial, and institutional exchange between the regions.

Representing the Government of Pará, CODEC actively participated in the discussions, presenting the work developed to foster the business environment in the state and attract strategic investments in different regions. The director of Investment Attraction and Business of the Company, Manoel Ibiapina, highlighted Pará's portfolio of opportunities and the institution's role in articulating projects with technical viability, territorial integration, and institutional support for investors.
The Arab delegation was composed of ambassadors Ibrahim Alzeben (Palestine), dean of the Council; Maen Masadeh (Jordan); Rania Alhaj Ali (Syria); Osama Sawan (Libya); Nabil Lakhal (Tunisia); Abdelaziz Cherif (Algeria); and Ahmad Bouceif, representative of the League of Arab States. Also participating in the event were Bruno D’Abreu e Souza, head of the Gulf Countries Division (DPGO) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mohamad Mourad, secretary-general of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce; Fernanda Baltazar, director of Institutional Relations of the Chamber; Ana Cristina Oliveira, coordinator of Corporate and Institutional Services; and Saleh Hassan, Arabic-Portuguese translator.

Promotion of institutional cooperation
When asked about the necessary support to facilitate Arab investments in regions such as the Amazon, the secretary-general of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Mohamad Mourad, emphasized the importance of structured agendas for future delegations.
"It is essential to assist in the preparation of agendas for delegations visiting the state, including meetings not only with the private sector but also with state and municipal government, government agencies, unions, financial agents, and local investment promotion agencies," he emphasized.

The statement reinforces the need for coordination among various local actors as a strategy to consolidate business opportunities with international investors.
CODEC's participation in the seminar highlights the commitment of the Government of Pará to strengthening international relations and sustainable regional development. The rapprochement with Arab countries represents a strategic step in building lasting partnerships in sectors such as infrastructure, energy, agriculture, tourism, and other areas of common interest.
Support for the security of the delegation
Since last Sunday (15), the Arab diplomatic delegation has been under official escort from the Military Police of Pará. The operation continues until this Tuesday (18) and was planned to ensure safety and fluidity in the official movements of the international representatives. The action reinforces the State's commitment to institutional reception and the organized conduct of international agendas.
